Biography

He was born in 1937 in the Paphos area. He graduated in Civil Engineering from METU. He pursued graduate studies in the U.S. on a Fulbright scholarship, completing an M.S. at the University of New Mexico and a Ph.D. at the University of Virginia. He served as a faculty member at Penn State University between 1967 and 1972. He held various ministerial posts and served as foreign minister in multiple terms.
